One Week One Street

One Week, One Street is a yearly local mission project in east Saginaw providing an opportunity for Great Lakes Bay Churches and other organizations to respond to the call to “love our Neighbors as ourselves”. This is accomplished by painting homes, clearing brush, landscaping yards, repairing porches and other minor exterior home repairs. Adults and youth group are encouraged to come and demonstrate God’s love. The 2023 dates have been set! Join us in mission June 26 – June 30 on Hazelwood Ave, in Saginaw, MI.

For more information on this program please visit their Facebook page. We are proud of the support AUMC has given to this mission.

Mid-West Mission Distribution Center

MMDC provides opportunities for individuals and groups of all walks of life, denominational backgrounds, abilities, and ages to help provide disaster relief, education and medical supplies to those in need both locally, nationally and internationally.  MMDC provides a “hands on” mission experience.  For those receiving the supplies, we are bringing hope that someone somewhere loves them.

AUMC has a sewing group that meets monthly at AUMC to make clothes, bibs, diapers and other items for those in need. We also have many people who volunteer at the distribution center in Illinois for a week or month at a time.  For more information on the Distribution Center visit their website at http://www.midwestmission.org/welcome.

Community Garden

The Auburn United Methodist Community Garden is sponsored by the Auburn United Methodist Church as a project to provide fresh vegetables to our local community from our garden.  Over the years it has grown to include neighbors who share their harvest on our produce cart for the community. We are always needing help in the garden so if you have a few hours this summer and would like to help serve the community in a unique way, then we invite you to come play in the dirt with us!
