Psalm 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Acts 17:28 “For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’”
Last week we recalled the 2018 Old Testament Word Verses for the last six months of the year; here are the New Testament Word Verses. We are all on a spiritual journey, even if we don’t realize it. We are spiritual beings. What if we are not so much physical beings having spiritual experiences, but rather we are spiritual beings having a physical experience?
July – Colossians 3:16
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.”
August – Romans 12:18
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”
September – Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
October 2018 – Matthew 6:33 – NKJV
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
November – Ephesians 2:8-9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God – not the result of works, so that no one may boast.”
December – Matthew 1:23
“Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,” which means, “God is with us.”
Our spiritual journey in life is intended to be illumined by God’s word in scripture. Its timeless wisdom helps us to know the heart of God, the way of Jesus Christ.
May your spiritual journey by marked with love, grace, joy and peace.
Shalom, Pastor Rob
