We have a variety of women’s groups to choose from. Most stem from the United Methodist Women (UMW).
Auburn United Methodist Women is a large group of women from AUMC whose focus is supporting Missions. Their meetings are a little more business-like than some of the other ladies’ groups, but they always accomplish a lot. They’re most famous for their pie fundraisers each October with proceeds supporting their missions projects. Pie pick up dates for 2017 are October 21st & 28th. We will accept pie orders until October 15th.
(Check back here in September for a pie order form)
They also do many other activities through out the year, such as making quilts for children, the VA hospital and prayer quilts. They also make meals for the volunteers at the Helen Nickless Free Clinic and many other activities to support our community.
Many thanks to everyone who has supported the women of the UMW and their missions!
Other groups that stem from the UMW:
Martha Esther Circle
Mary Ruth Hope Circle
Women are also invited to participate in the Community Garden Project sponsored by the United Methodist Men and the Carving Club that meets on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm downstairs in room 6. No experience is necessary, and they will even share their tools.
