Community Outreach

As we like to say “The Church has left the Building.” It would be impossible to list all the ways AUMC is working out in the community but here is a list that we are particularly proud of.

Auburn Community Food Pantry

Auburn United Methodist Church is the central hub for the Auburn Community Food Pantry, we are supported by the churches of the Auburn area, along with the local schools, businesses, and individuals. If you would like to make a donation to the Food Pantry please contact the church office at 989-662-6314. If you are in need of food assistance please call the Michigan Assistance Hotline by dialing 211 from any phone or you can call 888-636-4211 to obtain a referral.

One Week One Street

This program has been working for the last few years to revitalize a neighborhood in Saginaw.  Each year a new street is selected and volunteers spend one week to help paint houses, clear vacant lots, do yard work, build community areas, etc. For more information on this program please visit their webpage at oneweekonestreet.org or visit their Facebook page. We are proud of the support AUMC has given to this mission.

Auburn Community Blood Drives

Our missions team with with Mid-Michigan Blood and all the churches of the Auburn area to organize bi-monthly blood drives. To schedule an appointment contact Mid-Michigan Blood at 1-866-miblood.

Helen Nickless Volunteer Clinic

AUMC provides meals for the staff at this free clinic many times throughout the year. We also have doctors from our church that have volunteered to staff this clinic. If you would like more information please visit their web page sponsored by McLaren Bay Region here.

Open Door of Midland

AUMC volunteers cook and serve meals on a rotation at the Open Door of Midland. If you would like information about meals being served or volunteering at this agency please visit their website at midlandopendoor.org.
